Job Description

Design, development and maintenance of KXCV/KRNW web site, utilizing a wide variety of hardware and software packages; Write HTML code, work with KXCV/KRNW staff and the staff of Public Interactive, an application service provider; Assist with a wide variety of computer and office related tasks; Communicate technical information in user friendly terms and language; Coordinate communication between service provider and station staff; Coordinate with application service provider and all disciplines within the interactive website; Knowledge of HTML, Scripting/Programming, Real Audio, Javascript, Windows Media and Powerpoint, Windows 2000, Pro-Tools Audio Production, flatbed scanners, digital camera and CD ROM recorders, E-mail and On-line training and audio streaming methodology; Have ability to recognize, initiate and complete various tasks; Help KXCV/KRNW staff understand computer-related concepts; Employ creativity and flexibility in all aspects of role; Advanced level of Web Page development concepts and audio streaming and encoding processes; Exhibit professionalism and courtesy; Pay attention to detail; Exhibit positive customer relations skills; Promote staff involvement and training; Work independently and with minimal supervision; Demonstrate ability to work positively with others.

Qualifications

Interest, education and expertise in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Computer Science and Mass Communications; In-depth skill with web tools including Photoshop, RealProducer and Dreamweaver; Knowledge of web page design and HTML authoring and encoding; Required knowledge of scripting and programming language Javascript; Knowledge of Windows 2000, server administration and Mac os9.x.; Proficient with a flatbed scanner, digital camera, computer, audio encoding and CD-ROM recorders; Knowledge of Pro-Tools audio production; Understanding of public radio is strongly recommended; Attention to detail; Excellent verbal, oral and written communication skills; Applicants must have working knowledge of html, image work and Javascript.
