Job Description

To oversee station facilities after business hours; To assist students in announcing and production; To prepare for the next broadcast day; Enforce the KXCV/KRNW/KDLX policies; Assure the safety and security of equipment within the facility; Monitor studios and people in the studios; Assist students needing help in production studios and on-air; Clean heads on equipment; Make beat calls; Record and writing breaking news; Record a break for automation; File CD's; Train other student employees; Utilize effective oral communications during broadcasting; Utilize effective conflict resolution skills; Oversee station facilities after business hours; Ensure station security; Monitor weather conditions; Assist other students in production studios; Provide building access for other student employees; General knowledge of campus; Clean broadcast equipment; Have ability to recognize, initiate and complete various tasks; File compact discs in music library; Display an understanding of overall station policies; Use various pieces of broadcasting equipment; Record programs in satellite central; Record auto breaks for sign-on automation; Receive and deliver emergency alert system messages; Pay attention to detail; Exhibit professionalism and courtesy; Exhibit positive customer relations skills; Demonstrate ability to work positively with others; Have ability to work with diverse on and off campus population; Have ability to work with diverse on and off campus populations; Exposure to topics appropriate for public radio .

Trustworthy; Familiar with broadcast equipment; Possess leadership abilities; Conscientious; Have initiative; Applicants must have experience as an on-air announcer for KXCV/KRNW and must have exhibited a high level of responsibility, leadership skills and critical thinking skills.
