Job Description

To transmit Bearcat Football and Basketball games to stations comprising the BEARCAT SPORTS NETWORK; Cue stations on the network; Air all underwriting messages as scheduled; Assure quality broadcast of Bearcat Sports; Record sports broadcasts.

Communications:

  • Read special announcements
  • Utilize effective oral communication skills
  • Notify stations within the network of game start time
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English fluently

Critical/Creative Thinking and Problem Solving:

  • Play features, promos, and public service announcements during breaks
  • Make decisions about appropriate sports to play

Computer:

  • General knowledge of computers

Self-Directed Learning:

  • Have ability to recognize, initiate and complete various tasks

Competence in a Discipline:

  • Use various pieces of broadcasting equipment
  • Record games onto cassette tape for playback during post game highlights

Personal/Social Development:

  • Pay attention to detail
  • Exhibit professionalism and courtesy
  • Exhibit positive customer relations skills

Team Work/Team Leading:

  • Demonstrate ability to work positively with others

Qualifications

The student filling this position would be in the production studio, engineering Bearcat football or basketball games; Evening and weekend shifts are required; It is strongly recommended that applicants have knowledge of Wire Ready, Adobe Audition and FCC rules.

$7.75
