Job Description

To transmit Bearcat Football and Basketball games to stations comprising the BEARCAT SPORTS NETWORK; Cue stations on the network; Air all underwriting messages as scheduled; Assure quality broadcast of Bearcat Sports; Record sports broadcasts; Read special announcements; Utilize effective oral communication skills; Notify stations within the network of game start time; Ability to speak, read and write in English fluently; Play features, promos, and public service announcements during breaks; Make decisions about appropriate sports to play; General knowledge of computers; Have ability to recognize, initiate and complete various tasks; Use various pieces of broadcasting equipment; Record games onto cassette tape for playback during post game highlights; Pay attention to detail; Exhibit professionalism and courtesy; Exhibit positive customer relations skills; Demonstrate ability to work positively with others; Have ability to work with diverse on and off campus populations; Exposure to topics appropriate for public radio.

Qualifications

Must be familiar with digital audio delivery (DAD) system and Gentner telephone system; Knowledge of interaction of broadcasting equipment; Able to work under stress; Ability to speak, read & write in English fluently; It is recommended that applicants have knowledge of ENCO DAD system.
