Job Description

To provide assistance in creating and maintaining the department web site and other electronic materials and to aid with departmental promotional activities and establishing a powerful web presence to assist in recruiting and retaining international and domestic minority students;Update content of department web page, other duties as assigned; Follow oral instructions; Utilize effective oral communications when answering questions; Resolve needs of clients using knowledge of departmental and campus resources; Receive general instructions and complete projects independently and on time; Create new web pages or graphics; Create file structure management; Knowledge of HTML programming language; Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Internet; Photoshop; Knowledge of advancing web site technologies; Knowledge of gif animations, FLASH, Acrobat; Have ability to recognize, initiate and complete various tasks; Pay attention to detail; Exhibit professionalism and courtesy; Exhibit positive customer relations skills; Demonstrate ability to work positively with others; Have ability to work with diverse on and off campus populations.

Qualifications

Basic HTML knowledge; Computer, Graphic Design or Journalism Major; General keyboarding skills; Familiar with Internet; Attention to detail.
