Job Description |
To provide assistance to the Head Start Program; Responsible for assisting the driver in ensuring the safety of the children while they ride, board, and exit the vehicle and for assisting the driver during emergencies; Monitor will ride during Center routes and Home Base routes; Maintain control of children's behavior using positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques; Assist children on and off the vehicle; Assist driver during evacuations and emergency situations; Assist children into and out of child restraint systems on vehicle; Assist program participants on and off the vehicle and help ensure children are received by a responsible person; Assist children with putting on or taking off coats during arrival or departure; Assist with toileting and washing hands; Assist with small group and learning activities; Assist with sweeping floors; Assist teacher with art time and clean up; Assist with wiping down tables after meals or snack; Assist cook with meals, snacks, setting table, clean up; Ability to communicate with all Head Start Staff, Program Participants, and other employees of Community Services Inc.; Answer questions or refer clients to the appropriate source for information; Ability to read, understand, and implement written plans and instructions; Exhibit professionalism and courtesy, ability to maintain confidentiality, and exhibit positive interpersonal skills; Ability to work well with others; Ability to work with diverse groups |

Qualifications |
Obtain a physical exam and tuberculosis test; Monitor will be provided with First Aid/CPR training; Any other training that is required. |

15 Hours; Monday through Friday 3:00-6:00pm |
