Job Description

To provide assistance to a faculty member and students; Assist with attendance records, recording grades, filing, making photocopies, updating eCompanion sites, proctoring exams, assisting with grading, other duties as assigned.


  • Follow oral & written instructions
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communications

Creative/Critical Thinking and Problem Solving:

  • Manage data
  • Resolve needs of faculty/students


  • Knowledge of eCompanion, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet
  • Assist with multi-media equipment

Self-Directed Learning:

  • Have ability to recognize, initiate and complete various tasks

Competence in a Discipline:

  • Knowledge of fundamental concepts of Geography
  • Prepare and work with materials for the respective course

Personal/Social Development:

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Exhibit professionalism and courtesy
  • Exhibit positive customer relations skills
  • Patience

Team Work/Team Leading:

  • Demonstrate ability to work positively with others


  • Have ability to work with diverse on and off campus populations


Geography/GIS Major or previously taken the course, with a final grade of B or above; Maintain confidentiality; Professional and courteous to faculty and students; Attention to detail; Organized;
