Job Description |
To assist in the design, development, and maintenance of department web page and eCompanion site; Assist with database projects, marketing related technical projects and other duties as assigned; Communicate technical information in user-friendly terms and language to co-workers and University partners; Follow oral and written instructions; Utilize effective oral communications skills when answering questions; Utilize effective written communications skills; Contact and interact with University stakeholders (customers) by phone or written communications; Assist with organization and execution of career events; Complete projects using a high level of attention to detail; Receive general instructions and complete projects independently; Develop detailed documents from general instructions; Resolve needs of clients using knowledge of campus resources; Requires in-depth skill with web tools and graphic design tools including JavaScript, Flash and Photoshop, HTML; Knowledge of web page development concepts, audio streaming and encoding process; Requires knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet; Prefer experience with Collage, digital cameras, CD-ROM recorders, and flatbed scanners; Knowledge of Premier helpful; Utilize a wide variety of hardware and software packages; Must be open to learning career placement software and web registration software; Demonstrate ability to conduct Internet research on assigned topics through credible sources; Have ability to recognize, initiate and complete various tasks; Help Career Services staff to understand computer-related concepts; Seek support and guidance as needed; Employ creativity and flexibility in all aspects of role; Maintain confidentiality at all times; Exhibit professionalism and courtesy; Exhibit positive customer relation skills; Support and encourage Career Services staff members; Work independently with minimal supervision; Work under strict timeliness; Demonstrate ability to work positively in a team environment; Develop agendas,take minutes and lead student staff meetings, if needed; Have ability to work with diverse on and off campus populations. |

Qualifications |
Interest, education, and expertise in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Computer Science, and/or Mass Communication or similar; Knowledge of campus resources preferred; Must be able to work a minimum of 10 hours per week; Good oral and written communication skills while also having sensitivity to non-verbal communications; Professional, courteous, organized, attention to detail, maintain confidentiality. |
