Job Description |
To provide assistance to the Department of Campus Safety; Perform general clerical duties including typing; Filing, record keeping and maintenance of files; Receive, screen and transfer calls; Other duties as assigned; Ability to follow oral instructions; Operate all communications equipment provided; Serve as communications liaison between field staff and outside agencies and communications centers; Ability to explain university parking policies and regulations; Coordinate with outside law enforcement agencies and community groups as appropriate; Provide liaison contact with the university community relative to policies and procedures and interpretations thereof; Prepare detailed documents from general instructions; Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously; Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel; Ability to recognize, initiate and complete various tasks; Fundamentals of Criminal Justice, Work unsupervised; Professional and dependable; Pay attention to detail; Able to maintain confidentiality; Positive customer relations skills; Able to work with diverse on and off campus populations. |

Qualifications |
Maintain confidentiality; Criminal Justice Minor or related field preferred; Excellent communication skills; Successful completion of investigative background check; This position is for night and weekend shifts; This position requires the completion of a 40 hour 911 training course given by the supervisor during intersession and monthly continuing education trainings. In addition, preference will be given to candidates who will be staying through all successive trimesters including summers, nights, weekends and holiday breaks. |
