Job Description

To provide preparation and maintenance of laboratory equipment and facilities.

Communication:

• Machine operation and maintenance
• Use data to solve pesticide use problems in crops

• Have ability to recognize, initiate and complete various tasks

Competence in a Discipline:

• Planting maintenance and data collection in research plots
• Plant propagation
• Mix and apply insecticide and herbicide properly and safely
• Gather, operate and maintain water sampling equipment
• Monitor insect and weed population for IPM program
• Establish nutrient management program

Personal/Social Development:

• Pay attention to detail

Team Work/Team Leading:

• Demonstrate ability to work positively with others

Multicultural:

• Have ability to work with diverse on campus populations

Qualifications

Upper division Horticulture or Agronomy major preferred; Equipment operation experience desirable.

Wage Rate

$7.25
