Position Summary |
Responsible for assisting with maintenance of streets, sidewalks, parking lots and other campus hardscape features. Collects and hauls campus trash and recyclable materials to a designated site and maintains trash and recycling vehicles and containers. |

Minimum Qualifications |
Education: High school diploma |
|
Preferred Qualifications |
Education: Concrete or asphalt construction training |
|
Working Conditions |
Regular hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a one-half hour lunch break. Hours vary on occasion to include weekend work. Subject to call for snow removal as needed. Work is mainly outdoors and exposed to very hot and cold conditions, also exposed to air conditioning. |

Supervise seasonal and/or student employees |

Equipment/Materials Used |
Trash compacting truck, dump trucks, backhoe, skid loader and attachments, roller, tar pot, concrete finishing tools, utility vehicles, hand tools and shop equipment for maintenance |

Typical Physical Demands |
Requires sitting, standing, bending, reaching, lifting and manual dexterity sufficient to operate maintenance and cleaning machinery, climbing in and out of trucks many times each day, frequent pulling and lifting, occasional heavy lifting within reason |
