Position

Instructor of Management, Marketing/Management

Contract Terms

Non-tenure track position

Position Summary

A nine-month faculty position responsible for providing instruction in undergraduate level management courses.

Essential Functions

  1. Teach 12-hour per trimester course load (fall and spring trimesters); Courses targeted include introductory management courses (e.g. Principles of Management, Managerial Communication, Organizational Behavior) along with the possibility of introductory marketing courses (e.g. Principles of Marketing)
  2. University/Departmental service including committee work

Minimum Qualifications

Education: MBA

Preferred Qualifications

Experience: University teaching and management/marketing practitioner experience; demonstrated excellence in teaching, student support, university service and scholarly activity; familiarity with technology-enhanced curriculum delivery (e.g. Blackboard, e-companion, online)

Working Conditions

Collegial, team-based, modern academic environment with individual faculty offices (Internet access)

Equipment/Materials Used

Faculty are issued a personal laptop; classrooms are technology-enhanced (document stations, video equipment, Internet access)

Ability to complete essential classroom functions

Department

The Marketing/Management Department has 14 full-time and several part-time faculty and offers BS degrees in Management, Marketing and International Business. The department's approximately 650 degree seeking undergraduate students select from over 20 different course offerings of when 11 are also available online.
