Contract Terms

Non-tenure track position, renewable for one year

Position Summary

A nine-month faculty position responsible for teaching developmental composition and general education freshman composition courses.

Essential Functions

  1. Teach 6-hour per trimester course load (fall and spring trimesters) with 6 hours of release time to provide administrative support for the Writing Center as well as create a stronger online presence for the Writing Center; Courses targeted include Introduction to College Writing and first and second semester Composition
  2. Administrative and technology support as well as web development for the Writing Center
  3. University service including committee work

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Earned master's degree or equivalent
Experience: Successful teaching experience
Skills: Computer technology skills

Working Conditions

Collegial, team-based, modern academic environment with individual faculty offices (Internet access)

Equipment/Materials Used

Faculty are issued a personal laptop; classrooms are technology-enhanced (document stations, video equipment, Internet access)
