Instructor of Accounting, Accounting/Economics/Finance

Contract Terms

Non-tenure track position

Essential Functions

  1. Teaching undergraduate accounting courses

Minimum Qualifications

Education: MBA or MS in Accounting
Experience: Prior teaching experience
Skills: Prepared to teach undergraduate courses

Preferred Qualifications

Certification/License: Professional certification (CPA or CMA)
Experience: Work experience in profession
Skills: On-line teaching experience; background in finance to teach undergraduate finance courses

Working Conditions

Colden Hall has state-of-the-art electronic classrooms. Each faculty member has a notebook computer for their use.

College

Located in the Booth College of Business and Professional Studies. The business programs are accredited by ACBSP.

Department

The Department offers a two track accounting major in private or public accounting and an MBA-Accounting Emphasis degree. The accounting faculty also offers an online accounting completion program in partnership with several community colleges. The department has fourteen full time faculty members and is located in Colden Hall, with state-of-the-art electronic classrooms. Each faculty member has a notebook computer for their use.
