Position

Assistant Professor, Mathematics and Statistics

Contract Terms

Nine-mionth, tenure track position

Essential Functions

  1. Teach general education and upper division mathematics or statistics courses (12 credit hours per trimester)
  2. Curriculum development
  3. Scholarly activity
  4. Service to the department and to the University

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Doctorate in Mathematics Education
Experience: Teaching experience
Skills: Area of expertise that complements the department

Preferred Qualifications

Experience: Teaching experience including technology

Working Conditions

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics offers three comprehensive major programs (including an actuarial science track), five minor programs and a wide range of service courses. The university is also home to the Center of Innovation and Entrpreneurship (a business incubator) and the Missouri Academy of Science, Mathematics and Computing.

Equipment/Materials Used

All faculty are issued a laptop computer and all classrooms are technology enhanced. The department also has three computer labs.
