Faculty and students are issued a personal laptop by the University. Classrooms contain technologically enhanced teaching stations. High-quality instructional technological support provided. |

Typical Physical Demands |
Typical professorial classroom functions, plus those associated with teaching foods labs, such as lifting large cooking vessels holding hot contents |

Department |
The Family and Consumer Sciences Department offers programs that lead to Bachelor of Science degrees, available in selected area of child and family studies, merchandising of textiles, apparel and furnishings; and family and consumer sciences education. The department also offers minors in administration of child care programs, family life and resource management, food service, nutrition and is a partner in an interdisciplinary minor in gerontology. Other departmental accreditations in addition to the ADA accreditation mentioned above, include those from the American Association of Family & Consumers Sciences, the National Council on Family Relations, the National Association for the Education of Young Children and NCATE.
