Tenure-track position

Position Summary

Tenure track position in the Department of Psychology/Sociology/Counseling to begin August 24, 2009.

Essential Functions

1. Teach courses in M.S. School Counseling program
2. Supervise practicum students
3. Teach courses in the psychology undergraduate program in developmental and educational psychology; Additional classes in areas to be determined by the candidate's qualifications
4. Student advisement
5. Supervision of undergraduate or graduate student research as appropriate
6. Active participation in department, college and university initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Ph.D. or Ed.D. in School Psychology, Educational Psychology or a related field with a Master's degree in School Counseling (ABD considered)
Experience: Evidence of successful college level teaching
Skills: Prepared to be a challenging and caring professional educator

Preferred Qualifications

Experience: Evidence of accomplishments or strong potential for success in research, publication or grant writing
