Assistant/Associate Professor, Psychology/Sociology/Counseling

Contract Terms

Tenure track position

Position Summary

Tenure track position in the Department of Psychology/Sociology/Counseling to begin August 24, 2009.

Essential Functions

  1. Teach courses in general psychology and elective undergraduate psychology courses the candidate's area of expertise
  2. Teach additional classes in areas to be determined by the candidate's qualifications
  3. Student advisement
  4. Supervision of undergraduate or graduate student research as appropriate
  5. Active participation in department, college and university initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Psychology or a related field (ABD considered)
Experience: Evidence of successful college level teaching
Skills: Prepared to be a challenging and caring professional educator

Preferred Qualifications

Experience: Evidence of accomplishments or strong potential for success in research, publication or grant writing
