Position Summary |
The Missouri Academy of Science, Mathematics and Computing at Northwest Missouri State University is seeking to fill one female Residential Counselor position. The Residential Counselor (RC) is charged with the responsibility for providing continuity and stability in the student experience at the Missouri Academy of Science, Mathematics and Computing (MASMC). RCs are full-time, live-in professional staff in a position that enriches the students' personal, social, emotional and academic growth. |

Minimum Qualifications |
Education: Bachelor's degree |

Preferred Qualifications |
Education: Course work in education, behavioral sciences or a related field |

Working Conditions |
Residence hall environment and standard office environment serving academically high-achieving minors on a hall staff of seven Residential Counselors |
|
Supervisory Responsibilities |
Supervise Community Leaders who are Missouri Academy 2nd year students who assist with development of the residential community |
|
Equipment/Materials Used |
Business office equipment including Microsoft Office software suite; Blackberry communication device; laptop computer; recreational equipment, including but not limited to outdoor games and barbeques |
|
Typical Physical Demands |
Business office environment; ability to lift 25 pounds; capable of moving recreation equipment, barbeque equipment, chairs, tables and other relatively light furniture |
