High Brass & Jazz Ensemble, Music

Contract Terms

Full time appointment during Spring 2010 trimester

Position Summary

Teach applied trumpet, Jazz or Music Appreciation and direct the Northwest Jazz Ensemble

Essential Functions

  1. Teach applied trumpet students
  2. Conduct the Northwest Jazz Ensemble
  3. Teach one section of a Fine Arts general education course

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Master's degree in Music
Experience: Experience in teaching trumpet and conducting a jazz ensemble
Skills: Skills in teaching, conducting and performing

Preferred Qualifications

Education: ABD or Doctorate in Music
Experience: Experience teaching trumpet and conducting a jazz ensemble at the college level
Skills: Jazz improvisation skills
