Interests and Activities

I am the mother of 3 children who have introduced me to the sport of Soccer!  I am a mini-van driving, soccer watching mom on the weekends in the fall and spring. My son has become a fan of Hap Ki Do the past year and a half which keeps me on my toes as I have watched him begin his "board breaking" belts.

Other Professional Experience

I spent most of my Early Childhood teaching in the Parents As Teachers programs in St. Joseph and Maryville public schools as a Parent Educator.  I moved from that program in 2010 to the North Nodaway School District to be the lead preschool teacher in their MPP Preschool.  I worked as their Early Childhood Special Education teacher while in the preschool and moved into the kindergarten and 1st grade classrooms in the fall of 2013.  My heart was still in preschool, though, so when the opportunity to teach here at the Leet Center came about I jumped at the chance!

Favorite Thing About Teaching

My favorite thing about teaching is watching the children in my class learn and grow! A close second to that is the relationships that are built with the families of my students!

Goals for the Year

My goal for this school year is to work to continue our learning and exploring outside to the outdoor classroom as much as possible! Secondly, I am committing to capturing these moments to add to our portfolios!
