**It is suggested that you gain as much experience working in an aquatic setting as possible. Securing a Lifeguard and/or Water Safety Instructor Certification will also be beneficial.
AFO Training and Testing is conducted as part of the NRPA Congress held each fall. Students should register for conference & the training/exam the Fall BEFORE they complete their internship.
