Order of Omega is a national Greek honor society. Membership is based upon academics, service to the community, leadership within the chapter and Greek community, and participation in University activities, clubs, and organizations. There are currently more than 500 Order of Omega active chapters.
The Lambda Omega Chapter at Northwest Missouri State is actively involved in the Greek Community. Whether participating in philanthropic events, providing new Greeks with training and community building, this group of honored Greeks represents the values all members strive to attain.
This event is open to all members of the Northwest community and is a great opportunity to test your trivia knowledge while supporting a great cause. All proceeds will go to SSM Hospice.
This event is free and open to all new members of the Greek community. We will discuss Greek values such as stereotypes and how to overcome them, alcohol awareness, scholarship, and brotherhood and sisterhood. There will be a panel of Order of Omega members to answer questions about Greek Life. We highly encourage new members to attend to participate with other new members in every chapter and get to know other outside of their own chapter.
This event is free and open to all members of the community. The Greek Awards recognize outstanding members of the Northwest Greek Community to have a positive and lasting impact on their chapters, councils, and communities. Individual chapters and Councils present their awards to members of the community. In addition, Order of Omega presents the Outstanding Greek Man/Woman, Outstanding Fraternity/Sorority President, and the coveted Julie Victor Moore Lifetime Achievement Award. Order of Omega also announces new members who are invited to join the Greek honorary organization.

Each year the Northwest chapter of Order of Omega assists the Greek Life Office in challenging organizations of the Northwest Greek Community to evaluate their performances in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and brotherhood/sisterhood. Basic accreditation standards are required for each chapter to continue operating as a recognized Greek organization of this University.
