The MBA with IT Management Emphasis will provide a foundation in both technical and information systems expertise. The program will instill in the students the importance of sound theoretical information systems principles for gathering, storing, manipulating, retrieving and analyzing data as well as practical applications in business organizations. Students will develop an understanding of the need for lifelong learning,enabling them to use technological advances soundly benefiting their organization.
The MBA with IT Management Emphasis consists of 9 core courses and 2 graduate elective courses, which comprise 33 hours of graduate credit. Some students may be required to take prerequisite business courses and/or computer science courses prior to admittance into the program. Additionally, all candidates are required to complete a research component and take a comprehensive examination upon or near completion of their coursework.
The student who chooses the IT Management Emphasis option must meet the following requirements, in addition to the general MBA undergraduate prerequisites:
