The following women were selected by their chapter for being a great academic representative. We wanted to highlight them for their academic success.

Adrienne Rhodus is a freshman in Alpha Sigma Alpha. Her major is Business Management with a GPA of 3.06

How do you maintain high grades while still being involved in Greek Life?
"I always set a time throughout my day to work on my homework, and I always make sure that if I have a test or some big project coming up I have more than a week to go over everything. Your grades are important in Greek Life, so I always make sure I am doing my best with them."

A study tip that Adrienne recommends is "find music that calms you. It can be whatever you want, but if it calms you, you are more likely to study harder and not get distracted by the environment around you."

Alana Baack is a junior in Sigma Kappa. Her major is Elementary Education with a GPA of 3.90.

How do you maintain high grades while still being involved in Greek Life?
"I set quite a bit of time aside to study. If I'm not in class or doing something with my chapter, you can find me studying at the library or another building on campus. I really enjoy having a group of sisters that hold each other accountable and drag each other to the library as much as we would like to watch one more episode on Netflix."

A study tip that Alana suggests is "go to the library and sit with somebody you won't talk to and actually study. I would also recommend using your resources such as the library, writing center, SI's, and even your professors. They are there to help."

Astrid Reynoso Zaragoza is a sophomore in Sigma Kappa. Her major is Biochemistry with a GPA of 3.98.

How do you maintain high grades while still being involved in Greek Life?
"I maintain my grades while also balancing Greek Life (as well as Residential Life and student ambassarods) with LOTS of time management. I like to stay organized by putting all my activities and my assignments in my planner. Whenever possible, I try to stay ahead in homework so I avoid extra stress and have time to have fun with my sisters."

A study tip that Astrid suggests is "the third floor of the library and a classical music playlist are the ingredients for success."

Bethany Miller is a senior in Alpha Delta Pi. Her major is Therapeutic Recreation with a minor in Gerontology. Her GPA is a 4.00.

How do you maintain high grades while still being involved in Greek Life?
"I maintain high grades by working with my sisters and women who, in other chapters as well, value scholarship. I surround myself with people who encourage me to keep up the hard work with positive attitudes and do not bring me down with negativity."

A study tip Bethany recommends is "taking at least a couple hours a day to work on your homework after a sisterhood event, chapter meeting, or mixer helps you stay on top of everything. College is the first thing we are here for and I think people forget that. Also do not forget to ask for help when you need it."

Camryn Grove is a freshman in Sigma Sigma Sigma. her major is Elementary Education with a GPA of 4.00.

How do you maintain high grades while still being involved in Greek Life?

Chloe's top study tip: "Flash cards! I study best by quizzing myself on my flashcards and rewriting them on a whiteboard."

Courtney Martin is a sophomore in Alpha Delta Pi. Her major is Human Services with a GPA of 3.85.

How do you maintain high grades while still being involved in Greek Life?
"I make sure that I put time aside to do homework. I use a planner and sticky notes to help me keep track of everything that I need to do and make sure that I get everything done before I can take part in fun activities. I also use my sisters to help keep me accountable for my grades. They help remind me that there are people here that support me and are pushing for me to do the best that I possibly can. Basically to me it's all about finding the perfect balance."

A study tip that Courtney recommends is "use colorful highlighters when studying to color code different types of information. It is SUPER helpful."

Haley Scharrer is a junior in Sigma Sigma Sigma. Her major is Parks and Recreation Management with a minor in Public History and Museum Studies. Her GPA is 3.40.

How do you maintain high grades while still being involved in Greek Life?
"I make sure I look at what is due within the next few weeks of class and do things ahead of time so I still have time to do things with my chapter, but my grades always come first."

Haley's top study tip is "take notes in a few different colors of pens. It helps me remember what I am writing down and makes it easier to read later when I'm studying for exams."

Miranda Ruth is a freshman in Phi Mu. Her major is Biomedical Science with a GPA of 4.00.

How do you maintain high grades while still being involved in Greek Life?
"I maintain high grades while still being involved in Greek Life by attending study hours and SI sessions. I stay organized and plan my weeks in advance so I know when homework is due or tests are approaching."

Something that is helpful to Miranda when studying is "flashcards and verbally reciting information."

Sam Snodgrass is a senior in Alpha Sigma Alpha. Her major is Marketing with a minor in Psychology and a GPA of 3.98.

How do you maintain high grades while still being involved in Greek Life?
"Maintaining high grades and being involved in Greek Life is all about balance. Just as you make time to go to fun events in your sorority or other organizations, you have to make time to study outside of class. As hard as it is, sometimes you have to learn to say no to all of the fun events when you have too much studying to do. Maintaining good grades is how you got into Greek Life in the first place, so it should be your first priority."

Sam's stop study tip is "quizlet is my best friend - there are so many different tools that you can use to study for on this website! I also love studying with a friend who is in the same class or having them quiz you. It really helps you to figure out what you do and don't know when you have to explain it to someone else. Everyone has a unique way of studying, it's important to find what strategies work the best for you and roll with it."

Keep it up ladies, you inspire us all to keep studying.
