Ceramics

The undergraduate program in Ceramics at Northwest provides a wide experience in the development and execution of artworks using clay as a primary material. Students gain a thorough understanding of ceramic materials and processes; develop rigorous studio practice and are trained in the verbal, visual and tactile language of ceramics. This training is offset with projects that emphasize materials exploration, conceptual development and multi-media exploration. The goal is to produce artists that have a thorough understanding of clay and its potential for expression.
