Master of Science in Education Teaching
Early Childhood Education
This program is designed for students who seek advanced training in the field of early childhood education. Upon completion of the coursework students will have a strong understanding of child development, effective instruction and classroom management strategies, curriculum development, and administration in early childhood settings.
Early Childhood Special Education Endorsement Program
Persons who hold an early childhood certification* may be eligible (see advisor) for endorsement in early childhood special education by completing 2 additional courses listed below.
*Persons not holding an early childhood certificate should see their advisor for additional requirements.
Admission Requirements
- Make application
- Minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.75
- Submit valid teaching certificate (or statement of deficiencies)
- Minimum combined score of 700 on the verbal and quantitative sections of the GRE
- Successful completion of writing assignment
- Complete Approved Program Form with advisor
