Criminal background checks (CBC) are only good for six months. All Northwest student teachers MUST complete a CBC. You must request a letter from DESE and give our office a copy of this letter that states that you have been cleared. We will give you your school code upon placement to use when completing your CBC. Those students teaching outside MO should use 999999 as the code. The average time for completion is two weeks.
