Dr. Woodruff has served on the Northwest music faculty since 1976 with teaching responsibilities in low brass instruction, conducting, secondary instrumental music education, and music appreciation. He also serves as the chairman of the music department and is the advisor for graduate students in music. Dr. Woodruff received his undergraduate and graduate school education at the University of Oklahoma (BME and MME) and completed his DMA degree in music education at the University of Missouri at Kansas City.
His research interests have focused on the incorporation of technology into music appreciation courses. He has presented research papers at a number of conferences on topics related to technology, and he has developed and continues to teach music appreciation online.
