Mr. Larry Williams is currently an adjunct on the music staff where he is the orchestra string coach and an applied string teacher. He taught 35 years in the public schools of Kansas where his high school orchestras appeared at Chicago Midwest, Washington DC Kennedy Center, MENC, and many Kansas Music Educators Association conventions.  

In 1987, he was elected president of the Kansas Music Educators Association. For eight years, Mr. Williams served on the Board of Directors of the National School Orchestra Association. He has served as guest conductor or string clinician in 10 midwestern states and has conducted youth symphonies in Kansas and Missouri for 25 years.  Most recently, Mr. Williams taught strings, orchestra, and music education at Baker University in Baldwin, Kansas. Upon his retirement, he began working with the Northwest Missouri State University orchestra/string program.

In 2002, he was inducted into the Kansas Music Educators Hall of Fame and the Kansas Chapter of the American String Teachers Association Hall of Fame. He is currently writing a book entitled “Orchestral Warm-Up Exercises that Build String Players’ Techniques.”
