Kevin Maret is the adjunct instructor of percussion and director of the studio jazz ensemble. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Northwest Missouri State University, and a Masters in Music Education Degree from the Conservatory of Music and Dance at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Currently Mr. Maret is working on his Doctorate in Percussion Performance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Mr. Maret taught band in Missouri prior to joining the United States Air Force Heartland of America Band at Offutt AFB. His duties at Offutt included performing with the concert band, Noteables jazz band, jazz combo, ceremonial, and marching bands. Other professional experiences include: principal percussionist with the Sioux City Symphony, and performances with the Kansas City, Omaha and Lincoln Symphonies. Mr. Maret is a member of the Missouri Air National Guard band. Mr. Maret has instructed at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Grace University, and was the Assistant Director of Bands and Director of Percussion Studies at McKendree University. He continues to work as a clinician, adjudicator, and freelance musician throughout the Midwest.
