Pi Mu Epsilon

Pi Mu Epsilon is a national honorary mathematics society. Its goal is to promote mathematics. This is done by honoring students who have excelled in mathematics and by helping others who need help succeeding in mathematics.

A student must meet strict guidelines to become a member of Pi Mu Epsilon.

  • Sophomores: have a 4.0 average in math courses, which must include 3 trimesters of college math, 1 trimester of calculus, and be in the top quarter of your class.
  • Juniors and Seniors: have a 3.0 average in math courses, which must include 4 trimesters of college math, 2 of which must be calculus, and also be in the top third of your class.

Most members tutor or have tutored individuals or groups in mathematics.

AfterMath Club

AfterMath Club is an approved student organization on campus. The purpose of the club is to develop a better understanding of the nature and functions of mathematics and to provide social opportunities for students interested in mathematics. You do not need to be a math major to join AfterMath.
