Experience Background:
DC is beginning his 27th year as the Head Athletic Trainer and Assistant Professor at Northwest. He has been chosen as the Missouri Athletic Trainers’ Association Athletic Trainer of the Year in 1995 and 1999 and NCAA Division II Athletic Trainer of the Year in 2006. DC has been inducted into the Missouri Athletic Trainers’ Association Sports Medicine Hall of Fame (2001), the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame (2004), and the Mid-America Athletic Trainers’ Association Hall of Fame (2007). In 2004 he was presented with the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer award. The Northwest Missouri State University Mortar Board has awarded him their Certificate of Appreciation (2002) and Top 10 Teacher (2005).

Professional Activities:
DC is currently serving the first year of a three year term as President of the Missouri Athletic Trainers’ Association. He previously served as Public Relations Director from 1982 – 1987. He has served in every elected office of the Mid-America Athletic Trainers’ Association between 1987 through 1999. He also served on the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Directors from 1994 – 1999 and was NATA Vice-President in 1997-98. DC is currently in his second three year term as a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Research and Education Board of Directors.
