Internships, Practicums, student teaching assignments, and/or field experiences are a part of every area of study in the Family and Consumer Sciences department. This experience will vary from one academic credit to six. The experience is designed to provide the vital link between classroom learning and the "real" world. Graduates from the FCS department consistently report this as one of the most valuable learning experiences during their study at Northwest Missouri State University. Many students have found this to be a very effective link to a prfessional positioon following their graduation. See each area major of study for additional information.
