Centennial Tree Project -- A "Cen-tree" of Change

Northwest's Family and Consumer Science Department is selling post cards created by the children at the Early Care and Education Laboratory and Horace Mann Laboratory School for fifty cents each.  These will go on sale Monday, March 17, 2008 in the FCS Department, 3rd floor Administration, and the mornings of March 18-21 in the Early Care and Education Laboratory, Brown Hall.  Interested buyers may also contact s276405@nwmissouri.edu to purchase postcards.

The proceeds will go toward purchasing a commemorative Centennial Tree to celebrate the Northwest Family and Consumer Science Department’s 100-year anniversary.  The tree will cost $300 to plant and maintain over its lifetime, and will be planted near the Administration Building and will help replace the trees that were lost in the ice storm.

Remaining proceeds will be used to purchase materials for the Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten classrooms.
