The Department of English at Northwest is an energetic, diverse community of teacher-scholars. Our literary interests range from William Shakespeare to J.R.R. Tolkien, Emily Dickinson to Tennessee Williams, Flannery O’Connor to Toni Morrison. Among us are creative writers, literary scholars, English education and composition specialists. What do we have in common? We love to read, to write and to think about reading and writing. We’re dedicated to enhancing our students’ critical thinking and communication abilities.
