Minor in English, 24 hours
The Minor in English enhances the analytic and communicative skills of virtually all students and prepares them for careers in a number of fields, including (but not limited to) psychology, journalism, public relations, publishing, law, medicine, and many others.

The 31-hour Minor in English is an attractive choice for students majoring in another teaching area such as foriegn languages, social science, speech, art, or music. The Minor offers a balance of writing and literature courses similar to the Bachelor of Arts in English. If completed under the B.S.Ed. degree, Secondary or Elementary/Secondary Programs, meets Missouri teacher certification standards for grades 9-12.
