University Administrative Experience


Director, Educational Assessment, College of Education and Human Services, Northwest Missouri State University (2002-2007) Responsibilities include developing and implementing assessment plan to meet and exceed state and national accreditation standards, coordinate teacher education assessment at the student, program, unit and institutional levels, research trends and prepare reports to analyze policy changes and decision making processes for the Council of Teacher Education (COTE) and Assistant Director and Dean of the College of Education, aggregate, disaggregate, and analyze test scores and Teacher Work Sample and Portfolio information, data-based training advisors and students, collaborate with Northwest Institutional Technology team to design and build an assessment system. Professional responsibilities include serving on and preparing assessment reports for numerous committees including COTE, Teacher Education Assessment Group, Teacher Education Appeals Committee, Unit Leadership Team, Assessment System Redesign Team, Authentic Assessment Committee, University-Wide Assessment Committee, K-16 Coalition Team, NCATE-DESE Steering Team, and Teacher Education Guidance Committee. State and national accreditation responsibilities include:  providing data to prepare reports for all DESE programs and co-author of NCATE standard II, Assessment system, for successful 2005 NCATE accreditation visit. Additional responsibilities include, with Assistant

Director of Teacher Education Student Services. Developed data system for College of Education and Human Services, Northwest Missouri State University (2002-2007).  Responsibilities included providing information and assisting student in entering the College of Education. Monitoring processes and criteria required to progress through the College of Education to certification. Providing reports of individual candidate and aggregated data to decision making bodies of the college of education is a responsibility for the TESS director, as well as selecting and training graduate assistants to meet customer service and college of education assessment program goals. The TESS Director supervises the development of Teacher Work Sample Day each semester, in collaboration with the Director of Field Experiences and professional support staff.
