Please consider purchasing a Bearcat scarf for $15 to help cover the costs of equipment, materials, and team travel for the team. Email David Nelson with your name and address if you plan to have it shipped to you. There will be an extra charge for shipping by mail.

flagAbout the Montgomery Cupflag

The Montgomery Cup Exhibition Debate Tour was instituted in 1993 by the English Speaking Debate Unions of England, Scotland and Wales as a competitive, academic, international exchange between outstanding student debate representatives from the United States and Great Britain.

It was hoped that through educational and cultural exchanges based upon competitive, exhibition debates that our student representatives would gain greater experience in international perspectives and politics that would serve to open minds and borders.

Each year, member Unions of the English Speaking Unions of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland compete for the honor of representing their respective universities in the Montgomery Cup Tour.  In years past, the Universities of Cambridge, Oxford, Durham, Dundee, Glasgow, St. Andrews, Aberdeen, Cardiff, Dublin, Cork and London University Law have hosted stops on the Tour.

This year’s challenge promises to be even more competitive than in years’ past.
