Feb. 25-27 (Houston MLA) This musical theatre classic follows fast-talking traveling salesman/con-man Harold Hill, who, in order to sell band instruments, convinces the citizens of River City, Iowa that he can teach their children to play in a superb marching band. His scheme is complicated when he falls for the local librarian, Marian. Chaos ensues as Hill's credentials are challenged and he must prove himself to the citizens of River City and his newfound love. | |
