Student Social organizations are where you will meet new people and develop friendships, contribute to your community and make a difference, explore career opportunities and gain experience, learn and practice leadership skills, and have a lot of fun! They help add balance to your life, in addition to helping you to become aware of different cultures and lifestyles, and developing an appreciation for the arts. At Northwest there are several student organizations and some of them are:
The purpose of the International Students Organization (ISO) is to bring together the different cultures that exist on campus and promote unity through diversity. The ISO conducts weekend trips such as the Hispanic Festival and Renaissance Festival. ISO's yearly activities include the Annual ISO Cultural Show, Annual Dinner, participation in Homecoming and so on. It has group meetings which are comprised of fun activities which develop and help to mingle with the people of different culture.

Indian Student Association is an organization formed by the student body of the Northwest Missouri State University. The main idea behind ISA is to create awareness about Indian culture in the Northwest community, promote unity in diversity, serve and help students grow as individuals and as an organization by learning and adapting to a culture other than our own. The association's annual convention is a major event called ISA dinner. ISA has organized several cultural get-together that include Diwali night, Eid dinner usually featuring Indian food. The last get-together have been very popular with performances from dance groups, international music, and lots more!

The basic motto of Asian Students Association is to extract the views from different communities and develop a philosophy for social welfare. It is a miscellany of cross culture exchange between Asia and Europe. Through active communication with the other active organizations, it sponsors many events.

The Middle Eastern Students Association serves the needs and interests of the Muslim students on campus. It helps to raise awareness of Muslims and is an excellent source for information on Islam. Jumah (Friday) prayers and general body meetings are held weekly. A yearly dinner is organized by the association to celebrate the festival of Eid-ul-fitr.

Korean Students Association is one of the youngest and recent organization on-campus. The mission of KSA is to provide opportunities and environments to help Northwest students understand and appreciate Korean culture and its uniqueness. KSA has shown three Korean movies at Korean Movie Night Event in Fall semesters and successfully held the Korean Student Association Dinner in 2007 Spring semester."
