Meet the Faculty
Joni Adkins

Joni Adkins has taught for the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri since 2001. She received her Doctor of Business Administration in Management from Anderson University in 2011. Her Master of Business Administration in MIS and undergraduate degrees were all earned at Northwest Missouri State University. Prior to teaching at Northwest, Dr. Adkins was a corporate computer trainer, high school business teacher, and academic coordinator and counselor with the Upward Bound and Student Support Services programs. Dr. Adkins teaches in the areas of information technology management, e-commerce, management information sytems, and decision support systems.
She encourages students to consider majoring in a computer-related field as there are many majors and minors to fit their interest and a terrific choice of career paths available.
