Welcome to Chemistry, Physics and Science Education
The Department of Chemistry and Physics at Northwest Missouri State University is dedicated to the education of science majors. The Department focuses on science education, chemistry and physics majors, and offers service courses to biology, geology and pre-professional programs. The faculty seeks to provide quality major programs and research opportunities that prepare graduates to compete in graduate school and to find industrial, governmental and/or educational positions. Also, the department offers quality general education and service courses that assure an understanding of the basic scientific processes and the relation between science and society.
