Field Training Exercise ATLANTIC HOPE will be held on Thursday March 4- Monday March 8, 2010, at the Public Safety Training Complex of Indian River State College (IRSC) in Fort Pierce, Florida. The exercise is sponsored by the Consortium for Humanitarian Education and Service and hosted by Indian River State College.
There is a $125 participation fee paid to the IRSC Foundation that is due on check-in at the site. Air Transportation from Kansas City Airport to Orlando Airport is also paid by the student. Student participants will sign a waiver of liability upon in-processing at IRSC. Your participation fee pays for your ground transportation, food, lodging, and support of the exercise costs. You are responsible for paying for meals on March 4 and 8 while travelling and for dinner out on Sunday evening.

We will meet at the parking lot next to the Green House (two parking lots behind Garrett Strong and across from the McKemy Center) at 6 a.m.
Certificate of completion must be submitted to one of the CCR advisors (Dr. Corson, Dr. Fisher, Dr. Haberyan, or Mister Matt Johnson).

Here is a packing list of minimum items to bring:
You will be sleeping on cots in a building or tent and working in field conditions that could range from sunny and warm to rainy and cold. Plan accordingly and do not bring any military camouflaged items and ABSOLUTELY no weapons. Expect to have your bags searched by Atlantican Customs and Border Security Officials upon your arrival in the country.
