Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants
This $1,000 scholarship is awarded by the Educational Foundation of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants, varies in amount. This scholarship will be awarded to a full-time accounting major who is a Missouri resident. The award is based on academic achievement, demonstrated leadership potential, and an essay. Scholarships are not "needs-based."

Kensinger-Imes Accounting Award
This scholarship is awarded to a junior or sernior accounting major. The stipend is to be applied toward tuition. Cook-Imes Distinguished Scholar
This scholarship of $1500 per semester will be awarded to two students with a major in Accounting, Marketing, Management or Finance. A minimum of 60 credit hours is required with at least 30 of those hours earned from Northwest Missouri State University. Applicants will be considered on their prior record of good citizenship and leadership potential as well as an excellent potential for success in the business world. Three recommendations, including one from a faculty member of the Melvin D. and Valorie G. A scholarship of $1250-$2500 is granted on the basis of academic excellence to an undergraduate student majoring in one of the areas of business and economics. An applicant must be completing the junior year and have a cumulative grade point overage of 3.5. Delta Mu Delta offers 36 national scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students with a business major. Applicants will be judged on the basis of scholastic achievements, leadership skills, character, motivation, need, and potential. Recipients do not have to be a member of the organization. Applicants must be a declared major in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Management, or Computer Management Systems and have expressed an interest in banking as a career. The recipient must be a junior or senior in the year the award is to be received and must have demonstrated academic excellence at the very highest level. The Elwyn K. Devore Scholarship is for marketing management, and finance majors who are juniors or seniors. The recipient must exhibit leadership abilities and maintain a 3.5 GPA. The scholarship will be awarded in two equal amounts for the fall and spring semesters to be applied towards fees, tuition, or other college expenses.
At the time of his retirement in 1985 Dr. E. K. DeVore was one of only three Northwest professors who had held the highest academic rank, "Distinguished Professor", bestowed by the University's Board of Regents. Dr. DeVore first started teaching at Northwest in 1950 and replaced Dr. Surrey as head of the Division of Business in 1961. He was Dean of the School of Business and Government from 1983 to 1984. Raymond L. and Ruth l. McClurg Scholarship
The Raymond L. and Ruth L. McClurg Scholarship is awarded to a student majoring in business. This scholarship, which is to be applied toward tuition, fees, and other college expenses, may be renewed at the discretion of the committee. The applicant must have a minimum of 27 credit hours and a 3.0 GPA at the time of application. Financial need may be considered. Contact Roger Woods at 660-562-1752 for more information.
Vic and Frances Farrell Scholarship
Recipient(s) must have a GPA of 3.0 or better, at least sophomore status, and a major in business area. The Vic and Frances Farrell Scholarship will be divided equally between the fall and spring semesters and is to be applied toward tuition, fees, and other college expenses.
Preference is given to graduates of Worth County High School, Grant City, Missouri, with financial need being a determining factor. Contact Roger Woods at 660-562-1752 for more information.
Two Robert Fraser Scholarships are awarded to graduates of a public high school in the St. Joseph area. The recipients must be business majors, have at least sophomore standing, have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.75, and show financial need.

Welton Ideker Regents Scholarship
To qualify for the Welton Ideker Regents Scholarship the applicant must have a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA and show leadership abilities. They should have at least sophomore standing when the scholarship is received. Financial need will be considered in making the decision. To qualify for this scholarship, the student must have junior standing or have completed at least 57 credit hours prior to the time the scholarship is used. The student also must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 and must have attended Northwest for at least one semester. Graduate Students are invited to apply for this award. AAUW Corwin Junior Scholarship

Viola May Corwin/AAUW Scholarship
The Viola May Corwin/AAUW Scholarship is awarded to a woman in her junior or senior year or graduate student with 3.0 GPA and Northwest Missouri resident. It is based on need, academics and recommendations. For more information and an application, contact Linda Girard, Registrar, at 660-562-1151.
Anna M. Painter/AAUW Scholarship

To qualify for this scholarship, a student must be a junior with strong academic skills and good citizenship, and demonstrate awareness of the aims and philosophies of Northwest. Naomi Gray Roberts Scholarship
The Naomi Gray Roberts Scholarship is awarded to a woman, preferably the head of her household, who is enrolled in at least six credit hours per semester. The student may be either undergraduate or graduate level. Two letters of recommendation must accompany the application. Accounting/Economics/Finance Freshman Scholarship
A scholarship is available for incoming, first semester freshmen. This scholarship is a one-time, $500 award granted at the beginning of the student's freshman year. It is awarded each year to one first semester freshman majoring in each discipline (Accounting/Economics/Finance) who will be attending Northwest as a full-time student. Selection of the scholarship winners will be based upon information provided on the application, a letter of recommendation from a high school teacher, counselor, or administrator, and a one-to two-page essay on why the individual wants to pursue a career in the specified discipline (Accounting/Economics/ or Finance). Northwest Foundation Scholarship
The recipient of the Northwest Foundation Scholarship must have completed at least 27 credit hours and attended Northwest at least one trimester with a 3.25 cumulative GPA or above. Northwest Memorial Scholarship
The eligible candidate for the Northwest Memorial Scholarship will have completed at least 27 credit hours and attended Northwest at least one trimester with a 3.25 cumulative GPA or above. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship
The Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship is awarded to continuing Northwest minority students who have met scholarship requirements. Minority student are defined as individuals from the following racial/ethnic categories: African American, Hispanic American, Asian American, Pacific Islander, American Indian, and Alaskan Native.
The applicant have at least 24 credit hours prior to the time the scholarship is to be used. A minimum Northwest GPA of 3.25 is required. The applicant also is required to complete the application form available from the Financial Assistance Office, provide a personal letter of introduction to the selection committee, a faculty recommendation, and a transcript. A personal interview with the selection committee is required.
The scholarship is renewable pending maintenance of a 3.25 Northwest cumulative GPA and completion of 24 credit hours per academic year. A work component is required.
The value of the award will be a combination of full in-state tuition and full room and board (double occupancy room and meal plan). Awards will not exceed a total of three years (six semesters) per student. Contact the Financial Assistance Office, 660-562-1363, for more information.
Multicultural Scholastic Leadership Award
To qualify for the Multicultural Scholastic Leadership Award the student must have a minimum northwest cumulative GPA of 2.50 on a 4.00 scale and complete at least 24 credit hours per academic year. The student should demonstrate leadership in minority community through involvement in various University and civic organizations and should demonstrate continued commitment to improving multicultural issues on the Northwest campus. Financial need will be considered in the selection process.
The amount of the awards vary each year. To renew, student must reapply. The deadline is May1. Complete a scholarship application, available from the Financial Assistance Office, 660-562-1363 and submit a letter to the committee discussing how you have demonstrated leadership and involvement in minority issues at Northwest and the community.
Kansas City Chapter of the Financial Executives Institute Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded each spring to a student with junior standing who will be returning in the fall to complete his/her senior year. The applicant must submit two letters of reference, one of which must be from a faculty member. The applicant must also submit an essay, no longer than one page, describing his/her motivation, preparation, and objectives for a career in financial management or accounting.
