If you are a student, faculty or staff member with a valid Northwest email username and password and are having difficulty changing your password through Web-based Mail, you can change your expiring or expired Northwest email password on the Remote Desktop Connection.

Note: You must use your Northwest Network (email) username (s24444 or s44444) and password to log on to the Remote Desktop Connection. Do NOT use your CatPAWS 919#!
If you want to change your expired or expiring Northwest email password from off-campus and Web-based Mail is not working correctly, try the Remote Desktop Connection.
To use the Remote Desktop Connection, you must have Windows 2000, XP or VISTA. MAC users may also use the Remote Desktop Connection by installing special software.
If you have a firewall installed on your computer, that the TCP 3389 Port for RDP is open on your firewall.

Note: Windows 2000 users should use the Windows XP guide. If you have an older version of Windows such as 98 or 95, please contact the Client Computing-Information Systems Help Desk at 660-562-1634.

If you cannot find the Remote Desktop Connection within Accessories on your computer, click on the Start button, click Run, type MSTSC in the Open textbox and then click OK. The Remote Desktop Connection should open.
Note: In VISTA you will need to click Start and then type MSTSC in the Start Search textbox.
