A7 - How do I set up my mobile phone to access my email?
As a student, unless you have ActiveSync you must be on your network to have both incoming and outgoing mail available to you on the Northwest campus. Look for the Windows Live or Exchange option on your phone when setting up your email. If you have ActiveSync, the server is: m.outlook.com
To receive email using Northwest's WIFI network, you must login with your full Northwest Network email address (email@example.com) and current Northwest Network Account password.
If you do not have ActiveSync, outgoing mail for students is blocked on Northwest's WIFI network. If you want to use Northwest's WIFI network with your Outlook Live email and do not have ActiveSync, you will only be able to have incoming mail available to you. You will need to use Pop3 and set your incoming Server settings to use SSL Security, and be on Port 110 or 995. The server is pod51008.Outlook.com.
To set up your mobile phone to work with your email, please see the Mobile Phone Setup Wizard to select your phone and setup your phone. You can also view the Mobile Phones link on the Microsoft Outlook help center for other instructions.
