As you may remember, Banner for student services was implemented in 2004. Soon Northwest will begin implementation of Banner Finance and Banner Human Resources, thus completing a totally integrated software system for the entire university.
Training for Banner Finance begins in October, 2007 with a projected go-live date of July 1, 2008. Offices involved include Accounting (Controller’s Office), Finance, and Purchasing. One of the biggest efforts will be the development of a new chart of accounts. It is anticipated that some processes will change as well.
Banner Human Resources begins its training efforts in November, 2007, with a projected go-live date of January 1, 2009. Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, and Accounting offices will all be involved in its development and implementation. Again, we anticipate changes across campus, hopefully for the better.
We respectfully ask for your patience as we go through training, development, and implementation of these projects. Our goal, in addition to achieve a seamless integrated system, is to provide a high level of service to our departments and employees.
