Logging Into the Northwest Network for the First Time
Before you can log into the Northwest network for the first time, you must obtain your Northwest network username and password. Perform the following steps to obtain your Northwest network username and initial password.
- Go to the Northwest Homepage
- Click on the Quick Tools menu
- Select CatPAWS
- Log into the secure area
If you do not know your CatPAWS login information, see Logging Into CatPAWS for the First Time.
- Click on the Personal Information menu
- Click on Retrieve Initial Northwest E-mail Username and Password
- Read the statement on accepting Northwest's Computing Policies
- Click on Agree
- Your Northwest email address and initial Northwest network password will be displayed. Your Northwest network username is all of the characters before the @ in your email address. For example, if the email address displayed is S345678@nwmissouri.edu, then your Northwest network username would be S345678.
Once you change your Northwest network password, the displayed password will no longer be valid.
To log into the Northwest network using a university provided computer for the first time, do the following steps.
- Simultaneously press Ctrl + Alt + Delete
- Read the statement on accepting Northwest's Computing Policies
- Click OK
- In the Username textbox, enter your Northwest network username
- In the Password textbox, enter your Northwest network password
- Make sure the Log on to: box contains NWMSU. If it does not have NWMSU, then click on the down arrow to the right and select NWMSU from the drop-down list.
- Click OK
