Changing Your Northwest Network and Email Password On-Campus
Expired or About to Expire Password
If your password has expired or is about to expire and you would like to change it, perform the following steps.
- Log into a Northwest computer that is currently connected to the Northwest network
- You will then be prompted that your password is about to expire or has expired. Click Yes or OK to change your password
- The Old Password textbox should already contain asterisks representing your current password
- In the New Password textbox, type your new password
Remember your new password must be at least 8 characters long and contain at least 1 capital letter, 1 lowercase letter and 1 number. The password cannot contain common words or your name.
- In the Confirm New Password textbox, type your new password again
- Click the OK button
- A message will appear stating your password has been changed. Click OK
Password Not Expired
If your password has not expired and you would like to change it, perform the following steps.
- Log into a Northwest computer that is currently connected to the Northwest network
- Once you are at the desktop, simultaneously press Ctrl + Alt + Del once
- In the lower left corner of the window that opens, click on the Change Password button
- In the Old Password textbox, type your current password
- In the New Password textbox, type your new password
Remember your new password must be at least 8 characters long and contain at least 1 capital letter, 1 lowercase letter and 1 number. The password cannot contain common words or your name.
- In the Confirm New Password textbox, type your new password again
- Click the OK button
- A message will appear stating your password has been changed. Click OK
