5th Place Float!

IS Homecoming Parade Float

The Information Systems 2007 Homecoming Parade Float entitled: "The Electronic Campus : Connecting Bearcats Around the World" won fifth place in the Homecoming Parade Float Competitive Division

The float was made possible with the cooperation of the International Students Organization (ISO) and the International Intercultural (IIC) office under the direction of Jeff Foot. Additional support was provided by Shushei Sano.

Students from Mexico, Nigeria, Mongolia, Japan, India, Japan, China and other countries participated in the float.

Jon Rickman, Vice President of Information Systems, pulled the the float with his antique John Deere Tractor.

Client Computing User Consultants, Kim Todd and Tabatha Verbick, were the Information Systems Homecoming Parade Float Co-Chairs. Several Client Computing student and professional staff participated in the float's construction and presentation: Client Computing Manager, Merlin Miller, Client Computing-Information Systems Help Desk Specialist, Cheryl Birkensholz, Client Computing Computer Lab Consultants, Kyle Andrew, Cody Melton, Luke Polson, Joe Lohman, Derek Helwig, Adebayo Aido and Allen Long.
